My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenges!!!

Challenge # 1 create something with a cupcake on it. I chose this cute little cupcake from Simply Charmed and made a B-Day card, cause you can never have too many of those on hand.
Challenge #2 was to make something using Kraft cardstock. I needed I birthday card for my nephew today and thought this Snake from Birthday Bash was just the ticket. I hope he likes it.

Beach Fun Layout!

Layout Recipe:
The Background paper is DCWV and is actually part of a winter collection. I thought the colors worked purfect for this layout.

The photo mats are from some textured cardstock that I picked up from Fred Meyers, a grocery-variety store that is only in Oregon and Washington I believe.
They are 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" for the bottom layer and 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"  for the top layer and some are
4 1/2" x 4 1/2" bottom layer and 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" top layer.

All the cute sea creatures and beach accessories were cut from Create A Critter Cartridge.
The Crab, Sand Castle, and Star Fish were cut at 3" the beachball at 1 1/2".
The "Let's Play" was also cut at 3" I think I cut "splash" at 2 1/2".
The only thing not cut from the Create A Critter cartridge was the little envelope and tag.
The envelope is from Once Apon A Princess at 2" and the tag from Sentimentals at 4".

I used a white gel pen and did a lot of stitching. I also used some Tim Holtz  distress
Stickles "Picket Fence" on the water spray on "Splash" and on the little Star Fish.

I inked the edges of the photo mats, star fish and sand castle, with Stampin Up "Cajun Craze" classic ink.

Scrapbook Layouts I have Been Working on.

Wow I have not posted anything in awhile. Sorry about that to my few followers. I do appreciate you! Hopefully soon that number will increase. So one of the reasons I have not posted is because I have been busy making scrapbook layouts trying to catch up. I have a long ways to go. Here are some pictures of what I have done so far. Sorry for any glary pictures. For these layouts of my son I used the Locker Talk cartridge, some paper from the Basic Gray Wander Collection, and somme other odds and ends I had laying around. Please comment if you have a question about any specific item.

I love comments, so if you like my work please let me know. :)

                                                                         Thanks For Stopping By!

Zumba!!!

So this post is not really about scrapping or the cricut but I wanted to share. Last night with my good friend Kaeley I went to my first Zumba class. I now know how out of shape I really am. With that said we both had a good time and a great workout. Even though we were slow and lost most of the time it was still really fun. I cant wait till tomorrow to go back and give it another try. Hopefully eventually I will get the hang of it. So if your local health club offers this class be brave and give it a try.

My Pink ATG Came today!!!!

Actually it came yesterday but since I was at work all day yesterday I am just now getting to play with it. I absolutley love this thing. It works exactly how all you great you tube folks say it does in your tutorials. I held out until I fold the Pink ATG for the best price. My search ended on Ebay where I was able to purchase the ATG for $21, what a steal. Ebay is a great place to get cricut cartridges too! I recently purchased Forever Young for $22 I think. I have been having a lot of fun with that cartridge. So if you are on a tight budget and don't have very many cartridges like my self, I would diffently head over to Ebay and check it out. Here are some more pics of projects I have done recently......

This picture of the cute little purse is the project that came with the Forever Young cartridge. Stay tuned for some more very cute and girly projects. I am hosting a sleepover Birthday party for my daughter next week. She is turning 7 and requested some Princess decorations. I went on-line to SVGCUTS.com and got a set of SVG files for only $5.99 that is just for a princess party. I will be making lots of crowns and purses, it sound be fun can't wait to post the pics. Thanks for stoping by my blog and have a great day!!!

Some of my creations

Here are some pictures of some of the stuff I have made with my Cricut. The thank you cards design is from My Pink Stamper tutorials. The party invitation is from SVGCUTS.com and I used the Sure Cuts A lot software to cut the pieces out on my Cricut. A very cool program that allows you to download svg files and true type fonts from the internet and then cut them out on the Cricut. Many of these downloads are free, I paid 5.99 for the collection that the invite was from. A very good deal considering Cartriges can cost about $70.00 a piece.

My new Cricut Expression

Hi everyone, for christmas this year I got a Cricut Expression. I did a lot of research to try and find the best possible price. I finally decided to purchase through HSN. I got a great bundle with flexpay. So now I have this great crafting machine coming soon and I start trying to find videos on youtube about the cricut. Long story short there are a ton. not only have I been learning the basics about the cricut but have found some great resoureces for scrapbooking, cardmaking and more. So that is what brings me here today i want to share my experience learning the cricut and help others like myself that are new to the cricut community. I hope I can be helpful and spread my love of crafting and the Cricut!
